The Robert Boyle Summert School is

• A festival not a school.
• It is about Science, but not just for Scientists.

Ireland has a great tradition of cultural summer schools for adults. The Robert Boyle Summer School is the only such festival that engages the public with ideas from science and asserts science as part of our culture.

It is a gathering of people that are curious, creative and critical thinkers.

The 2027 Summer School will take place in Waterford and Lismore from 10-13 June 2027 where we explore the theme 2027 which will be announce soon! looking at different viewpoints with leading thinkers from history, philosophy, science, medicine and the arts.

The opening evening on the 10 June and presentations and discussions on Friday will take place in Waterford City Hall. The talks and discussions on Saturday will take place in Lismore Heritage Centre followed by a tour and garden party in Lismore Castle Gardens. On Sunday there is a special private tour of the Waterford Gallery of Art.
