17/08/2025. ACT Waterford’s DONATE-A-PLATE project, led by environmental artist Sean Corcoran, has bowled over communities across Waterford. Earlier this year, residents donated their old family crockery to be transformed into a permanent outdoor mosaic artwork. The result—Crockery Mountain —was unveiled in Dungarvan, Co. Waterford, on Sunday 17th August. Part of a two-year Creative Climate Action initiative, this is one of five ACT Waterford climate projects. The large-scale community mosaic was created by 150 volunteers under Corcoran’s artistic direction at The Art Hand. The project is funded by Creative Ireland and managed by ACT Waterford through the Calmast STEM Engagement Centre at South East Technological University, in partnership with Waterford City and County Council.
