Access Programme

From April to May, Calmast SETU’s STEM Engagement Centre, working with SETU’s Access Office, introduced 4th class pupils from local DEIS primary schools – Mercy Primary school, Presentation Primary school, Mt Sion Primary school and St Stephens National School to a range for STEM activities. The 4th class pupils came one afternoon a week after school to work in the Science laboratories in SETU learning about polymers, acids and bases, doing problem solving activities through a range and interactive activities, whilst all the time having fun! The programme which has bene running for over 10 years introduces 4th class pupils not only to STEM, but to becoming part of the SETU community!
