Access Programme

From April to May, Calmast SETU’s STEM Engagement Centre, working with SETU’s Access Office, introduced 4^th class pupils from local DEIS primary schools – Mercy Primary school, Presentation Primary school, Mt Sion Primary school and St Stephens National School to a range for STEM activities. The 4^th class pupils came one afternoon a week after school to work in the Science laboratories in SETU learning about polymers, acids and bases, doing problem solving activities through a range and interactive activities, whilst all the time having fun! The programme which has bene running for over 10 years introduces 4^th class pupils not only to STEM, but to becoming part of the SETU community!
