SETU STEM Entrepreneurship Camp
The SETU STEM Entrepreneurship Camp took place from the 8th – 12th June 2026 at SETU in Waterford. 34 students from Wexford, Tipperary, Waterford, Kilkenny and Carlow came together to develop a business project based on the theme of sustainability.
The week was comprised of a mix of presentations, business and STEM workshops, and team building exercises that eventually culminated in a Dragons’ Den-type event where each team had to present their business model to a panel of “dragons”.
It was an amazing week of innovative thinking. A huge thanks to the HEA for funding, as well as our partners in Growth Hub, Rikon, and SETU Xcelerate Centre for making this week possible.
We’re also grateful to the invited speakers for sharing their expertise; Seamus Morris, Dr Rebecca O’Mahoney, Dr Rebekah Attard-Trevisan, Mícheál Ó Cadhla, Margaret Tynan, Eoin Gill, Dennis Walsh and Mary Clare Curran.
And thanks to the mentors for their guidance and encouragement of the students; Joseph Foley, Hannah Foley, Valentina Mello Lunardelli, Joseph Boadu, Abinash Nayak, Ashkan Dehghan, Syedaattiqa Tajammal.
