Maths Enrichment Sessions for Junior Cycle Students

SETU Mathematics Lecturers in partnership with Calmast are delighted to offer Junior Maths Enrichment to pupils in the South East in 2026.

It is planned to hold enrichment session on Wednesdays from 5:30-7pm at the Waterford Campus. Initially these will run for 6 weeks starting on 28 January (skipping 18 February mid-term).

This programme is established by the Irish Mathematical Trust, with financial support from Stripe.

The course is open to any interested student and is free of charge. It is suitable for students in second or third year who enjoy mathematics and expect to get a good grade in Junior Cert Mathematics. Exceptional first year students may also be suitable. The programme is likely to be of interest to students who have a strong interest in mathematics, who enjoy mathematical challenges and who are keen to expand their knowledge of the subject beyond the post-primary curriculum.
