Bealtaine Festival of Outdoor Science concludes this weekend

The Bealtaine Festival of Outdoor Science (www.livingearth.ie) comes to a close this weekend. But before then, there are still plenty of family events to come.

On Saturday there will be a screening of the hugely enjoyable film, "The Man Who Planted Trees," in JFK Arboretum at 11am. That afternoon in the park, there will also be a guided walk of the botanical wonders of the arboretum at 3pm.

Taking place on Sunday is our spectacular artistic event, the Giant Mosaic on Annestown Beach. We will wrap up the festival with style on the seashore with Tina Keating and Sinead Driver of the Copper Coast Geopark. Using natural materials families will craft a giant mosaic on the beach, reflecting a sea creature from the local habitat. This event, like all Bealtaine Festival events, is free and takes place at 12:30.
