Waterford's Blackwater Community School wins Scifest Final
28th October 2011 - A project from Blackwater Community School Lismore won the national finals of Scifest. Eoghan Flynn and Ruairi O'Neill beat off excellent competition from winners of all the other regional finalists.

Thousands of Polish visitors got a "cead mile failte" and a "witać" at the Calmast Irish tent at the Science Picnic in Warsaw on Saturday 28th May. The team were invited by the Irish Embassy in Warsaw to develop and present an Irish stand.
Calmast wins Spirit of Enterprise Award
Calmast was awarded the prestigious "Spirit of Enterprise Michael Dee Award" at a ceremony in Waterford on Thursday 12th May. The organisers described Calmast as "An organisation which encourages a greater interest among students in maths, science and technology [and] are the worthy recipients of a major enterprise development" Read full press release from organisers -
Calmast nominated for Spirit of Enterprise Award
Calmast is among a list of 10 exceptional nominees for the prestigious Spirit of Enterprise Michael Dee Award. The award will be announced on Thursday 12 May 2011 after a seminar in the Tower Hotel Waterford. The Award recognises individuals or groups that have contributed to the economic or social wellbeing of theSoutheast. It is named in honour of the late Michael Dee a man who worked tirelessly through his position in Enterprise Ireland and in a voluntary capacity for the betterment of others.
Calmast Attends ISTA National Conference
Calmast gave a successful workshop on the Mutation Game at the 2011 ISTA National Conference.
SciFest Waterford Results
