‘The God particle at last?’ Dr Cormac O Raifeartaigh will describe the discovery of a new sub-atomic particle at the Large Hadron Collider at CERN, Geneva. The finding is considered one of the most important scientific breakthroughs in many years and subsequent measurements have confirmed the data.

Dynamic DNA Learn all about DNA: the Double Helix and the Molecule of Life! With Dr Cas Kramer  University of Leicester. An interactive, lighthearted lecture about DNA and genetics. What is DNA, where does your DNA come from, and what does your DNA do?Explore the molecule of Life, take part in an interactive experiment and learn about the role of DNA in solving crime and the genetics of biological clocks!
