South East Science Festival
The South East Science Festival is set to attract thousands of people over the next week with over 40 events taking place in Waterford, Lismore and Dungarvan. There will also be events in Dublin City Libraries which Waterford Institute of Technology (WIT) lecturers Eoin Gill and Michael Mc Carthy will present.
MathsWeek 2010
MathsWeek is a national flagship event for the promotion of Maths and Science. The event was created by Eoin Gill from CALMAST. It is now one of the most popular events on the national calendar.
CALMAST Summer Camp
July 5-9th, CALMAST, will be running a science, technology, engineering and maths summer camp for kids aged 10-14 years old. The camp has been running for a number of years and has proved very successful.
Scifest Waterford
On Tuesday April 20th, Scifest a celebration of second level science will take place at Wateford Institute of Technology. Scifest is a one day festival of science, which includes a competition and exhibition of second level projects, a selection of science talks, science demonstrations in the college laboratories and a prize-giving ceremony. In all over 50 students will display 25 projects covering wide areas of science form dreams to biodiversity and electronics.
Bealtaine Festival of Outdoor Science 2010
This year's Bealtaine Festival of Outdoor Science ranfrom May 16 - 22nd 2010 and gave primary and secondary school pupils along with families and the general public the chance to explore the natural world around them.
